Our Mission

At Troy Early Childhood Centers, our mission is to support families and communities by offering high-quality care for children, from infancy to school age. We provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children can explore and grow. Our programs are designed to foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through hands-on learning experiences. We believe in partnering with families to offer diverse learning opportunities that engage and inspire children.

About the Family

Our journey began in 1999 when we acquired the center at 111 East Charter. As parents ourselves, we struggled to find a care center that met our standards for our own children. We wanted a place that not only provided the necessary care but also offered a robust learning curriculum. This led us to establish Troy Early Childhood Center, Too in 2002, expanding our services to include quality infant care, a need we noticed was underserved in our community.

The Team

Christi, with 32 years of experience in childcare and education, holds bachelor's degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood. She strives to offer the best care and learning experience for your children.

Emily Hufford, Director of Troy Early Childhood Center Too has been part of the TECC team since September 2016. Emily has her Associates in Applied Science-Early Childhood Education and also has her Director Credential Level 1, ECE Credential Level 4 and Infant/Toddler Credential Level 4. She is currently continuing her education in child development while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an expected graduation date from SIUE of May 2025.

Sydney Snider, Assistant Director of Troy Early Childhood Center Too has been a part of the TECC team since April of 2016. Sydney has her Associates in Applied Science-Early Childhood Education and also has her Director Credential Level 1, ECE Credential Level 4 and Infant/Toddler Credential Level 4. She is currently continuing her education in child development while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an expected graduation date from SIUE of May 2025.

Coralis Garcia-Rivera, Director of Troy Early Childhood Center South has been a part of the TECC South team since August of 2022. Coralis has her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and also has her Director Credential Level 1 and ECE Credential Level 5. Coralis has worked in many childcare settings across the country and has extensive experience with classroom set-ups and Creative Curriculum. She will be continuing her education to earn her Master’s Degree.

Philosophy

We are committed to providing the community with exceptional child development centers and preschool services. Our programs are designed to enhance children's emotional, physical, and intellectual development in a developmentally appropriate setting.

Goals

• Emotional Development: We aim to foster independence and self-discipline in children, allowing them to develop as individuals within a structured environment.
• Physical Development: We provide a balanced approach to physical growth with nutritious meals, indoor and outdoor play, and rest time.
• Intellectual Development: Our curriculum is centered around school-wide themes and hands-on learning activities, designed to stimulate intellectual growth.
